There are hundreds of listings now, although they are concentrated mostly in classes which have had reunions and some of the years are pretty sparse. See the Encina What's New page for a list of the new entries: http://www.encinahighschool.com/what's.htm CLASS HOMEPAGES The Class of 1968 homepage is online under webmaster Cindy Rea: http://www.encinahighschool.com/class68/index.html Barbara Rea 62 will take over the Class of 1962 homepage with Cindy's help and Christine Rea 70 will be responsible for the Class of 1970 homepage. I've convinced my sister Laurie Lau to be webmaster for the class of 77 so that's one more class which will be coming online. And Carol Markell 78 has agreed to become webmaster for the Class of 78 homepage. Several alumni have volunteered to be reunion contacts for their classes. Basically, reunion contacts provide a central contact address for each class, where classmates can find out about reunion plans and provide contact information so they can be reached by fellow classmates. REUNIONS Although the Class of 73 and 78 reunions are now history, several classes have reunions planned for October. If you have a sibling or know a classmate from one of these years, please let them know about their upcoming reunion before it's too late. ============= CLASS of 1968 ============= October 10, 1998 at 6pm Del Paso Country Club Contact: Cindy Rea MacRae 703-569-5463 or scmacrae@mci2000.com RidgeleyElisabeth Sheldon Reece 530-577-4880 or RidgleyElisabeth_RRMtnDesign@compuserve.com ============= Class of 1988 ============= October 17, 1998 at 815pm A Shot of Class 1020 11th Street On Cathedral Square Downtown Sacramento Contact: Kelly Horine 916-988-4463 or LstingAgnt@aol.com So far as I know, there are no reunions planned for the classes of 1963 or 1983 or 1993. I guess several of you have bought yearbooks because they only go back to 79 now. Heddy Crowder (Encina community liason) told me: All yearbooks prior to 1992 are $25.00 a piece. If you pick them up there is no additional charge. Just make the check payable to Encina High School. The hours of the finance office are 8-4 M-F, or you can call the comptroller at 916-971-5887 or Heddy at 916-971-5891. They have them in the finance office, so all you have to do is check in at front and ask for the finance office or Heddy. Encina no longer has any yearbooks available prior to 1979. Also any yearbook shipped has a $10.00 s/h charge, and all checks should be made out to Encina High School. If an alumni lives out of state, the Comptroller requests a money order. ENCINA'S EARLY YEARS I heard from Randi Muller '62, who was at Encina's opening day back in 1959. She scanned some pictures from her yearbook which show Encina under construction! I'll be adding those pictures to the website when I have time. Thanks Randi! APACHES/BULLDOGS Scott Bennett '91 tells me that Encina's mascot was changed from the Apaches to the Bulldogs in 1991, the year he graduated. That's all for now. Harlan Encina webmaster
